INTRODUCTION : Orion
Electronics has developed system for controlling motion of many stepper
motors through PC RS 485 bus architecture. The address is
preprogrammed in chip for this model however as we club more systems it
is possible to provide address on DIP switch.
The system normally works through RS485 communication and hence sends
data serially to controller cards in sequence. It takes about 20
milliseconds to execute one data transfer. It is possible to
execute operation one after another or one can transfer data first to
all motors and then execute global command to run so that all the motors
will start simultaneously. |
