PLC CONTROLLED STEPPER DRIVE MODELS 

Orion electronics offers drives capable of interfacing with PLC or PC. In fact we can make stepper motor drives such that some of the inputs and outputs of PLC can be saved and capabilities of PLC can be used for other purpose.

All required signals, namely 'Start', 'Direction' ( digital outputs ) and 'Clock' ( frequency output ) come from PLC.  A proper interface is built inside the drive, although shown as a separate block.

Only 'Start' and Direction' AND 'Slow down' (digital outputs) from PLC.  The oscillator is built inside the drive box, with potentiometric control for frequency.  Acceleration and deacceleration built in.

Speed and direction selected by digital outputs from PLC.  Three different speeds settable on trimpots.
